In just seven days, registration will open for the 2025 Family Bible Conference. You may be wondering: why should I or my family attend this conference? Sure, it is a great conference, with opportunities for all ages. But that is not the main reason. The main reason is that you were created to attend!
This year’s theme is Worship & the Psalms. We were created to worship our great God together. There is no higher end or calling for the Christian life than this. Why does the Church carry out her mission of making disciples and teaching them to obey all that Christ commands? The reason is that our God deserves to be worshipped. So, as Christian disciples and disciple-makers, we long for God to be praised and glorified (through worship) by more people from more lands and more tribes and more peoples and more languages.
We invite you to join us this summer from Monday, July 28th through Thursday, July 31st at our own Bonclarken Conference Center. The evening speaker this year is the Rev. Jeff Kingswood from the Grace Presbyterian Church in Woodstock, Ontario. He will focus on worship, in general, with an overview of and exhortation in the distinct parts of (public) worship. Our morning speaker is the Rev. Ben Glaser from the Bethany ARP Church in Clover, SC. He will focus us specifically on the Psalms, giving aid to the women of the church and their upcoming study on Godfrey’s book, Learning to Love the Psalms.
Our theme verse that summarizes the conference for the year is Psalm 27:4: One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in his temple.
