Erskine Seminary Increases the ARP Scholarship

Erskine Theological Seminary is pleased to announce an increase to the ARP scholarship, beginning in the fall 2024 semester. Now members of all ARP churches and presbyteries will qualify for a 75% tuition scholarship. This scholarship applies to all five of our graduate programs and to all classes, including both in-person and online classes. In addition, students now only need to register for a single class in order to qualify for this scholarship.

Director of Seminary Admissions and Church Relations, Rev. Dr. Kyle E. Sims, commented: “We are excited for Erskine Theological Seminary to more deeply serve the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church through increasing our scholarship for ARP members. This scholarship expansion will enable even more pastors, students of theology, interns, and lay-persons to take advantage of the robust biblical and theological training we offer at Erskine Seminary.”

For more information regarding our scholarship programs or course offerings, visit our website at www.seminary.erskine.edu, or contact our admissions office at etsadmissions@erskine.edu.

Ballston Center ARP Church

The Ballston Center Presbyterian Church near Albany, New York has been without a pastor for 18 months.  Wayne Frazier was up there the first weekend in June to preach and met with the session and Pastoral Search Committee. This congregation has grown during this time.   This church burned down and was completely restored a few years ago.  It is an up-to-date building with a beautiful sanctuary and gym. They have volleyball outside and in the gym for 20-year-olds (3/4 are not members), pickleball, and basketball in the gym on different nights of the week.

The Chairman of the Pulpit Seach Committee is Karl Griffith;  Kgriffith4@version.net; 518-226-2583 is Karl’s cell.

The church has no debt.   This is one of the leading churches in Northeast Presbytery.   The leaders I met are good men.  They have a man who plays the piano very well on Sunday Morning and directs the Bell Choir. A trumpet leads the Trinity Hymnal singing.  If anyone wants to talk to me before they call my cell is 704-641-1317.  If you know of someone who is considering a call, please send this to them.  I said that if I was not 74 that I would seriously look into this opportunity for Christ’s Kingdom!
