The tornado that hit Little Rock passed about a mile east of our meeting place at Faith United Methodist Church but did not damage the church. Power is still out for many in our congregation and in Little Rock. All the River City members are safe and unharmed, but some sustained property damage. God was gracious to the city of Little Rock. The tornado was very powerful and remained on the ground for a long time. It brought significant devastation and killed one person in North Little Rock, but had the path been slightly different either east or west it would have affected more densely populated residential areas. Pray for Little Rock. The cleanup is significant and the weather forecast for next week is complicated with more rain and storms.
