Kathryn Axmann McGregor

Born in Anderson, S.C., on November 10, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Albert J. and Lavada Freeman Axmann. She was a member of the Young Memorial Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church and a former member of First Presbyterian Church and Roberts Presbyterian Church, where she taught Sunday school.
She was a graduate of Girls High School and Winthrop University. She earned a master’s degree in economics from Clemson University and retired from teaching secretarial science and economics at Anderson College. Before marrying, she worked for Drs. Gaines, Warder, and Stanfield, now Medicus.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Rob Roy McGregor Jr., of the home, and their son, Rob Roy McGregor III, of Charlotte, N.C. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Joe Axmann.
A Graveside service will be held at New Silver Brook Cemetery on Friday, October 21, at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Dean Woods and the Rev. Dr. Robert W. Bell officiating. The family will receive friends and acquaintances following the service.
