Autumn Changes

By Mary Drew Bult (The ARP Magazine Family Page contributor)

When the wind’s sweet breath

Drives the summer heat away,

I know without a doubt

That autumn is on its way!

The world becomes a blur of color;

It is glorious to look around!

Summer’s green leaves begin to turn

Shades of red, orange, golden, and brown.

Autumn is a time for pumpkins;

For mild weather and blue skies;

For family gatherings, thankful hearts;

For yummy smells and apple pies!

Yet, one day, winter’s chill will strike,

And it will leave the trees bare.

Together, we will rake up the fallen leaves,

And we’ll shiver in the icy air.

Each season of life

Is a gift from God above.

Thank Him for His wonderful world;

Thank Him for His love.

Though our lives change often,

Our God remains the same.

He’s got a plan for each one of us,

and we can put our trust in His Name.

As we watch the seasons shift,

As beautiful autumn begins;

Let’s praise and thank our unchangeable God

For His love that never ends!

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” Hebrews 13:8

“He fills my life with good things, so that I stay young and strong like an eagle.” Psalm 103:5
