Church of the Harvest

By Jim Klukow, Program Coordinator ONA

Virginia Presbytery installed Rev. Ken Bush to assist the Church of the Harvest as their Mission Developer. A number of folks from the mother church, Redeemer ARP Church in Blacksburg, VA, attended the service.

Rev. Dr. David Vance, Pastor of Redeemer gave the charge to the minister and congregation while retired ARP minister Bob Gordon read the call and presented the vows to Pastor Bush. At the close of the service Pastor Bush pronounced the benediction and afterward, refreshments were served.

Pastor Bush has a vision of raising up godly leadership through the Church of the Harvest and is incorporating into the spiritual DNA of the church the desire to plant a daughter church once they are organized and strong enough to send leaders to a new home mission field in Virginia.

“There are very few reformed churches in the area,” states Pastor Bush. “The community needs a strong biblical and reformed witness of the gospel.” These sentiments drive the mission of the Church of the Harvest.

Please pray for the Church of the Harvest. They are in rented facilities in the small town of Toano, VA. One request Pastor Bush has is that they will discover effective ways of making the church more visible to the community they desire to serve.
