Praises
The Good Samaritan Offering for Hurricane Helene has brought in $80,000 as of today, October 9. Funds are still coming in. The generosity of the denomination has been overwhelming. These funds will be disbursed by the Steering Committee to those in need. Some of the funds are helping a minister in Florida who has been displaced due to flooding. Some of the funds have gone to the three churches in Western North Carolina (Reformation, Pinecrest, and City Church of Asheville). As the needs continue to grow in this area, more funds will be disbursed.
Hurricane Milton
Please be in prayer for our churches in Florida as Category 4 Hurricane Milton makes landfall tonight. There are reports of tornadoes already in the area. Of the 27 churches in Florida Presbytery, 21 of them are in the potential path. I will keep you updated as I receive news. If you hear of any news, please share it with me.
