February – William H. Dunlap
This month we will highlight the William H. Dunlap Foundation, which is a ministry of our denomination that focuses on providing adoption assistance for ARP couples who are in the adoption process and supporting Christian care for children who are without homes. In the January/February edition of the ARP Magazine, Dr. Robbie Bell wrote an excellent article about the Dunlap Foundation and how it functions. In this article, Dr. Bell points out that the Foundation gets no funding from either the Denominational Ministry Fund (DMF) or from the two special offerings taken by ARP churches at Easter and Thanksgiving. This means that the Dunlap Foundation must function solely on donations and support from individuals and churches. Please remember the Dunlap Foundation the next time you are searching for a worthy cause to support.
Prayer Concerns
- Continue to pray for continuing relief efforts in Western North Carolina and in central Florida due to the effects of hurricanes Helene and Milton
- Pray for the Synod Planning Committee as their work has begun in anticipation of the 2025 Synod meeting, which will be held on June 10-12, 2025
- Please pray for Sam, Martha Margaret, and their daughter Gloria Noel, who are just beginning an extended four-month stay in Rwanda. Sam will be teaching classes in the Global Diploma program, while Martha Margaret will be working on finishing her Doctoral studies.
It is my hope that this short note will be useful to you in some way, and I believe asking you for your prayers and consideration will be helpful to all of us as we move through the year. As we approach Easter, let us remember to thank Almighty God for raising His Son from the dead so that we might live with Him for eternity.
