Update from City Church of Asheville

City Church is at a pivot point with our material distributions to the downtown corridor. Today marks the last day that we will be handing out provisions from our offices. Going forward, we have partnered with Foster SDA Church (375 Hendersonville Rd., 28803) each Monday and Wednesday (10:00 AM – 2:00 PM) to seek to meet the community’s needs. We need 15-20 volunteers each day to pull this off (maybe more, depending on whether or not people can come for the entirety of a shift). This is not realistic for us to do alone. And four-hour chunks are a big ask (especially as many people return to work). This is not hard work, per se, but we do need eager, smiling folks––young and old––as we move ahead.  You can feel free to forward this to any like-minded organizations that may have willing hands.
