Prayer Requests

Prayer request update from Retired ARP Minister Charlie Edgar:

(Previous post from August 5) My daughter Katie, fell in her garage last Sunday. The fall broke her hip and required a hip replacement during the operation. She hemorrhaged and her peritoneal cavity was filled, causing pressure on many of her organs and especially worrisome is the transplant organ that she has.

(Current Update) Katie was in ICU for three weeks, was in a medically induced coma, and was given 60 pints of blood.  She is now in a private room in Huntsville (Alabama) hospital.  Recovery will be slow and there are still questions about the treatments that will follow.  The Edgar family continues to covet your prayers.

Tim Watson

Please pray for Retired ARP Minister Tim Watson who is at home and recovering well after having a seizure.  The doctors say there is no neurological damage from the seizure. Tim is thankful that the Lord has allowed them to find a good neurologist and Tim is optimistic. Additionally, he is thankful for your prayers and would appreciate your continued prayers on his behalf.

Roy Beckham

Retired ARP Minister Roy Beckham had a stroke on August 7 and was moved to The Clinton Presbyterian Community. He is doing well, but is in a wheelchair at the moment. PT/OT will start this week, and the doctor feels that his legs will rebound. His left side is a tad weaker than the right, so they will work on strengthening his entire body. His mind is fine and he has made all the decisions in conjunction with his children.
