Prayer Requests and Updates

Quest Conference

Pray for the 230 staff and middle schoolers at Bonclarken Conference Center this week for the Quest Conference. Quest is a ministry of Christian Education Ministries. Rev. Philip Bunch, pastor of Fayetteville ARP Church in Tennessee will be speaking on Complete Grace from 2 Corinthians 12:9. The Crossings Community Worship Team, led by Brandon Auten, the Associate Director of Ministries at Crossings Community ARP Church in Columbia, SC will be leading the music.

Victoria Andes

Pray for Victoria, Rev. Scott Andes’s wife. During Synod, it was mentioned she would be having a CT scan. The scan revealed a small spot on her liver about the size of an M&M. Victoria’s oncologist said that it may be nothing to worry about, or it may be a metastasis. They were able to schedule an MRI for Friday, June 11th, and expect to have the results on Wednesday, June 16th. They would be grateful for everyone’s prayers that the report Wednesday will show the spot to be not cancerous. Rev. Andes is the RUF International Campus Minister for the University of South Carolina.

Howard Wheeler

Here is the update from Rev. Wheeler: “We made it home without incident. I saw my regular doctor yesterday and he said I would be on blood thinners for at least 6 months as the clot resolves. My pain is decreasing and my mobility is improving. I am so thankful to the Lord for all those who cared for me while in Columbia.  I can clearly see God’s gracious hand in every detail.”
