Prayer Update – Lott

Here is a brief update on Rev. Alex Lott as reported from First Presbytery.

The cancer is almost certainly Stage 4 of some sort. It is in his hips, adrenal glands, lungs, and on his brain. He had a biopsy where the initial pathology report is uncertain as to the kind of cancer, so another biopsy on his lung is being scheduled asap. Please pray that the results would return with a better prognosis instead of a worse prognosis. He is scheduled for a first round of radiation on the brain masses in a few days to try and shrink them down and give relief from swelling which has been causing headaches and vision distortion. He has been discharged from the hospital and is now at his parents home in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

Please continue to pray for Alex and his family.  Pray that the second biopsy would reveal answers so a treatment plan can be developed.  Pray for the success of the radiation on the brain.  Also pray for patient endurance and strengthened hope in the Lord during this process.  Finally, pray for the Starmount ARP congregation where Alex currently serves as pastor.
