Reverend Tripp Kimbrough

It’s with a heavy heart that I must report that Rev. Tripp Kimbrough, a Hospice Chaplain and member of Grace Presbytery, went home to the Lord on April 22. He was being treated at Duke University Hospital for brain cancer. Please see below for a message from Rev. Todd Jones of Hope Chapel in Greensboro, where Tripp’s family are members.

“Tripp has battled brain cancer since he was in his early twenties and over the past several weeks he developed another mass that took his life.  He leaves behind his beautiful wife Anna and his two kids Ella and Houston.  The family is grieving the loss of a beloved husband, father and friend to so many.  He once said that the two most beautiful events in life are when a child is born and when a follower of Christ passes from this world into the arms of Jesus.  As a hospice chaplain, Tripp considered it a privilege to be with people in that sacred space.  I am confident that Tripp was smiling from ear to ear as he was greeted by Jesus and all the saints that have gone before him and that he heard the words “Well done, good and faithful servant, come enter my rest!”

Due to COVID 19 restrictions, a celebration of Tripp’s life will be held at a later date to be determined.
