As we come to the final day of our ARP Week of Prayer and Fasting, we want to reflect on what we have been praying for throughout this week.
Through four videos, we have been reminded of the great need for laborers in God’s harvest. We have prayed for pastors and church planters, missionaries serving around the world, ministry students preparing to serve, and the next generation of men and women who are discerning God’s call.
We have also celebrated the ways God is already at work through churches working together, faithful pastors serving their congregations, new churches being planted, and missionaries carrying the Gospel to places of great need.
A recurring challenge throughout the week has been to look within our own churches and communities. Who might God be calling into ministry? Who needs encouragement to take the next step? How can we, as churches, better disciple, equip, and send those whom God has gifted for service?
As we enter the final day, may we continue to pray the words of Matthew 9:38: “Therefore, pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”
Thank you for joining us throughout this week as we have prayed together for laborers to be raised up, vocations to be clarified, the Church to be strengthened, the next generation to be prepared, and the Lord’s harvest to go forth.
May this week of prayer be more than a moment on the calendar. May it encourage us to continue praying, watching, and responding to God’s call as He builds and strengthens His Church.
