We’ve heard about several scams circulating recently. If you receive a call or email requesting gift cards due to an emergency, or an unexpected invitation or request, take a moment to verify before responding.
A simple way to do this is to contact the person directly using the email address, phone number, or other contact information you already have on file. You can send a new email, call, or text to confirm the request.
If the person is who they claim to be, they should understand and appreciate your efforts to protect yourself and others from fraud.
