Update on Rev. Alex Lott

Below is an update posted by First Presbytery on Rev. Lott from his wife:

Yesterday, Alex had an appointment with the oncologist with the results from the PET scan.  The PET scan showed several other spots that were not seen on the previous CT or MRI’s.  There were two spots that were hot spots so it is still inconclusive as to where the source of the cancer began.

Now they need to rule out if there are two sources of the cancer instead of just one so they know the best treatment options. There will have to be more biopsies done but they are not scheduled yet.

Also yesterday, Alex has had an updated MRI on his brain and a face scan in preparation for radiation treatment.  Radiation has not been scheduled yet

She asked prayers for the following.
1.  Pray that the radiation treatments on his brain start early next week.
2.  Pray that the radiation will work quickly so he can have relief from the pressure in his head, eye and ear.
3.  Pray that the radiation treatment won’t have a negative effect on his brain or his nerves.
4.  Pray that the two biopsies can be done this week and the results provide the doctors with what they need to be able to start a treatment plan.
5.  Pray that the treatment options are successful and provide a high quality of life for years to come.
6.  Pray that Alex does not get too discouraged and can feel God’s presence and all of the prayers that are being lifted up for him as he waits for answers.
7.  Pray for Brittany and baby Eli who is due in four weeks or less.
8.  Pray for Sarah, Mick, Hannah, Jack and Luke.
9.  Pray for Alex’s parents Rick and Denise.

Starmount Church has created a web site where anyone can send private messages to Alex or Brittany, as well as receive updates.  It is open for all thoughts from his brothers and sisters in First Presbytery.  It is https://weloveyoulotts.com.
