Updates from Christian Education Ministries

Family Bible Conference

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the cancellation our final event for the summer: Family Bible Conference.

The CEM executive committee has made this decision after seeking the advice of Chip Sherer, Bonclarken’s president. He informed us of the ongoing restrictions regarding group gatherings under the current statues of the State of North Carolina in response to COVID-19. We made the decision to cancel FBC in light of these restrictions, the nature of COVID-19, and the impossibility of proper social distancing during our conferences.

We know that this is a disappointment, and we are disappointed with you. We were all greatly looking forward to the sweet fellowship and engaging teaching and worship times we receive during FBC at Bonclarken. We thank you in advance for your understanding during this incredibly difficult time.

Please know that we are refunding all deposits for FBC 2020.

Additionally, Dr. Mark Ross, our keynote worship speaker, has agreed to record his sermons. These will be available on our website, so keep checking in! We hope these serve as an encouragement to you.

We look forward to FBC 2021 and hope you will be joining us then! Our 2021 Family Bible Conference will be based on the theme of “Family Worship”.

We ask that you continue to pray for us and support us as we seek to glorify God and fulfill our calling to equip the saints for ministry, even during this crazy COVID-19 season. How grateful we are for a Sovereign Lord who works all things for our good!

Horizon & Quest Live

Christian Education Ministries is hosting a one night Horizon & Quest Live Large Group session published on YouTube. While we are separated at this time, we wanted to host one night of singing praises to our God, hearing from his Word, and seeing some familiar faces from Bonclarken!

The planning team thought that this would be a great evening to gather together with your youth group and participate in this together. Given the COVID-19 pandemic, however, please consult with your own church’s leadership to see how, if at all, gathering together as a youth group is good for you to do. The great thing about this opportunity is that you can participate individually, in small groups, or in larger groups; indoors or outdoors!

We hope you can join us for this fantastic night! Click here to learn more and to register.
