Women’s Ministries and Family Bible Conference

By: Vicki Marsh, Women’s Ministries past President

It is almost summer and I can’t help but be excited about all of the activities going on at Bonclarken during this season!  Camp Bonclarken, Music Drama Camp, Horizon and Quest conferences for our youth, Music Conference, and the Family Bible Conference are all on the schedule.  Unfortunately, I am past the age limit for all but Music Conference and the Family Bible Conference, and my musicality has not improved with age so I will definitely be attending the FBC.

If you have never attended the Family Bible Conference before, let me introduce you to this event.  It is sponsored by the Christian Education Ministries and Women’s Ministries.  FBC will start on Monday, July 26th and ends on Thursday, July 29th.  There are lots of activities for the whole family to enjoy such as ice cream, swimming, Nibble Nook, or rocking on the new Back Porch, etc.  In addition, there are several events especially for women.  Some of them are the ARPWM Annual Meeting on Monday afternoon.  On Wednesday afternoon, you don’t want to miss the Silver Tea which is hosted by a different Presbyterial each year and includes good food, lots of fellowship, and a chance to donate to the Synodical Hall floor and kitchen improvement fund! Throughout the week, there will be seminars and workshops, many of which will be of interest to our women, especially the ones about Elijah and Elisha which will be the focus of WM Bible studies next year.  Each morning and evening there are excellent speakers. This year the speakers are Dr. Joel Beeke and Dr. Iain Duguid.

By the way, I will be there with our new 2022 ARPWM calendars “Jesus is the reason for all of the Seasons!” for sale for only $15.00.  Calendars feature a church from each Presbytery and two months feature Bonclarken.  Proceeds will go to the Synodical Hall floor and kitchen improvement fund as well!

To register, go to the Christian Education Ministries website for more information!  There is a campground and the Lodge and Founders Hall and Founders South to stay in and many churches have their own house on the grounds.  Make your reservations NOW!!  Come for the week or come for a day.  Bring your friends. Hope to see you there!
